- Acting as the subject matter expert (SME) on Expensify, providing support and training to employees.
- Ensuring that expense reports are submitted accurately and on time, with proper receipts attached. Monitoring expense reports to ensure proper accounting of capital expenditures.
- Providing excellent internal customer service to resolve expense-related questions or concerns
- Maintaining the corporate credit card program which entails card issuances, terminations, limit adjustments, and problem resolutions.
- Managing vendor relationships with credit card providers.
- Reconciling card settlements and deposits in NetSuite.
- Editing Expensify IDs for accurate NetSuite integration and reporting.
- Setting up amortization periods for prepaid expenses in NetSuite.
- Creating initiatives in NetSuite as needed.
- Preparing account reconciliations and necessary accrual journal entries.
- Reviewing expense accounts for month-over-month and year-over-year variances
- Reconciling expenses against credit card bills and preparing accrual journal entries.
- Proposing modifications to processes or deadlines to improve expense close cycle.
- Assisting with PBCs for the company's annual income tax return.
- Supporting accounting team with projects as assigned.
- A.A. or above in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years related experience in employee expense processing (Expensify experience is a plus)
- Beginner proficiency or higher with MS Excel, working knowledge of other MS Office applications including MS Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience with accounting/expense reporting and software required.
- Experience with large ERP systems preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once while completing quality work on a timely basis.
- Experience handling sensitive & confidential information; exceptional ethics and judgment.
- Ability to work both independently (with direction), across functions, and with a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with vendors, customers and co-workers.
