Overview:Global Capital Markets (GCM) division of Wilmington Trust provides trustee and agency services to capital market bond issuers, public finance, project finance transactions, acting as escrow agent for mergers & acquisition transactions and loan agency services for syndicated loans. In addition, GCM provides complete suite of services of entity management services to issuers. The current position within GCM’s Business Control Group requires the manager to implement projects arising from audit remediations, regulatory changes and process improvements from design to execution for GCM business globally. This position is based out of Wilmington, Delaware and requires hybrid work arrangement.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Independently leads multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale complex transformational control and risk management change initiatives, or strategically important short-term engagements that deliver business outcomes.
  • Responsible for managing and driving teams in the implementation of numerous control and risk management frameworks aimed at achieving alignment across GCM in support of its growth strategy.
  • Provide execution certainty by setting pace and driving accountability working alongside senior leaders to drive decisions.
  • Provide transparency to senior leadership of progress of initiatives.
  • Develop and tailor communications, content and artifacts used across various levels in the organization on highly complex business initiatives with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Ensures follow up on all critical items and drives accountability through documentation.
  • Identify process and control gaps which trigger the need for remediation and perform gap analysis to develop viable solutions.
  • Partner with Technology, Compliance, Legal and Risk teams to implement system driven solutions to improve controls, simplify processes and increase automation.
  • Analyze large data across multiple systems that impact project roadmaps and identify solutions aligned to data limitations or enhance data capabilities.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance, procedure experts, training and Change Management teams to prepare procedure documentation, job aids and training materials for new processes, walk through the procedures and organize FAQs to successfully implement the projects.
  • Encourage a culture of how to challenge status quo by consistently pushing for innovation and improvement and recommends solutions for adoption across the organization.
  • Support any other Business Control Group tasks as and when required.
Scope of Responsibilities:The position requires substantial interaction with internal contacts at senior management level, as well as external contacts to obtain pertinent information and serves as liaison between department and other business units on various projects. The jobholder is responsible for overall coordination and management of projects and for concurrently managing large scale projects, including daily supervision of project participants.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with Audit concentration preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong Corporate Trust products knowledge and experience to be able to understand the nuances of products to design and brainstorm solutions applying the requirements of regulations and risk factor mitigants
  • Strong project management skills to meet timeline and optimize available resources with prioritization and phased implementation planning
  • Excellent organizational and meeting moderation skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and experience interacting with all levels of personnel and/or ability to build relationships with management and business partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Prior project management experience is mandatory
  • High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools required

The pay range for this position is $150,466.11 - $250,776.86 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States of America
