- Provide pickleball players and members with the highest level of customer service.
- Assist players in learning company technology, including website and mobile app, in order to make it easy to rent courts and sign up for pickleball programs.
- Be available to answer questions, address concerns and assist customers in any and all ways possible.
- Recruit, train and supervise key staff members.
- Ensure that all employees comply with SPORTIME Policies/Procedures regarding safety, security, and code of conduct guidelines.
- Perform annual reviews, corrective interviews as necessary, deliver consistent feedback, including positive reinforcement and share areas of growth opportunities.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings to provide updates, discuss strategic planning and ensure open communication between all departments.
- Create a positive working environment where all employees feel valued and enjoy being a part of the team.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote pickleball programs and services to existing players and to the surrounding communities.
- Communicate with players/members on a regular basis to promote upcoming events, programs and opportunities to play.
- Ensure that high traffic areas provide players with information about future opportunities to play.
- Motivate coaches to promote products carried in the pro shop including paddles, shoes and apparel.
- Perform daily facility inspections to ensure all playing and non-playing areas are safe and ready for use.
- Provide supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff members to ensure the facility is clean at all times.
- Produce daily punch lists and work closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure maintenance and housekeeping issues are handled promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a 5-star facility for players, guests and staff members at all times.
- Maximize pickleball court occupancy and revenue per court.
- Meet or exceed budgetary expectations.
- Manage expenses effectively while maintaining the highest quality member experience.
- Compile, prepare, analyze, and submit annual budget; track budgets monthly with monthly management report.
- Ensure accuracy of daily appointments, transactions and deposits.
- Ensure accuracy of membership and program billing and usage reports.
- Review and analyze sales, membership, usage, payroll and aged receivables reports regularly.
- Approve any purchases, code all bills to general ledger accounts and submit payroll weekly.
- Previous management experience in a fitness or sports related environment, including the supervision of at least 3 or more employees.
- Knowledge of pickleball is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including ability to give clear and direct feedback and mentoring for continuous improvement.
