Linux Systems Administrator

- Build, configure, and maintain standardized Linux Operating Systems (such as RHEL 9) in various technical use cases.
- Build and maintain virtual machine Linux golden images from source code management.
- Integrate Linux operating systems with Active Directory environments utilizing tools such as SSSD.
- Maintain software repository mirrors utilizing Red Hat Satellite servers and custom scripts.
- Integrate multifactor authentication, CAC/smartcard PKI and certificate management in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.
- Work with teammates on an agile project with a focus on providing a secure, versatile, efficient, reproduceable, and highly scalable computing environment.
- Maintain system configurations with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in git repositories.
- Perform Linux system configuration, patching, and vulnerability remediation utilizing Ansible, Terraform, Chef, GitLab, or other automation tools.
- Work with teammates to ensure satisfactory DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline operation on OpenShift clusters and other Linux systems.
- Deploy and maintain OpenShift cluster nodes on bare-metal and cloud infrastructure.
- Apply security controls as defined in DISA’s Security Technical implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Assist with implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) 2.0 Continuous monitoring tools and processes.
- Support periodic Independent Security Assessments (previously known as Security Control Assessor - Validation or SCA-V).
- Implement security configurations derived from zero-trust principles.
- Create, manage, and maintain network storage servers.
- Maintain and produce documentation in markdown and other formats as required.
- Assist Cybersecurity team with developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation documentation, SOPs, policies, and work instructions as needed.
- Continuously improve your skills and the project by researching, training on, assessing, and implementing new technologies and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science and 6 years’ experience or 10+ years equivalent experience.
- Must meet DoD 8140 Intermediate System Administrator qualifications, such as holding a Security+, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, or GSEC certification (or higher-level applicable certification).
- Must either possess or obtain a Linux computing environment training certificate in compliance with DoD 8140. Must be willing to attain Linux+ certification within 6 months.
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Requires strong Linux (RHEL, CentOS) Operating System and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong DoD Security practices and knowledge.
- Working experience with Linux automation tools is a plus.
- Working experience with infrastructure as code and source code management is a plus.
- OpenShift or Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures.

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
