Job Category: Contingent StaffResponsibilities:Women's Program student aides will interact with diverse groups of staff and faculty throughout Harper College and various populations of students. The student aide will be welcoming, respectful of the student and their privacy, patient, and accountable.
  • Answering phone calls, taking and distributing messages to the Women's Program staff members and providing accurate and appropriate information, when needed.
  • Providing accurate program information and directing prospective Women's Program students on how to express interest in the program.
  • Scheduling appointments in scheduling software to facilitate access to advising and participant onboarding appointments.
  • Marking students' appointment attendance through the scheduling software
  • Performs confirmation/reminder calls during each shift.
  • Assist in outreach opportunities such as calling campaigns and tabling events
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Assistant.
Qualifications:Education Requirements: To apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credit hours per fall and spring semester (three credit hours for summer).Experience Requirements: A successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality of the department and students. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MyHarper Student Portal and Blackboard. Prior customer service, office and/or volunteer experience is preferred.Schedule Information: Will determine schedule based on student's availability.
