This individual will be responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, presenting, and disseminating Occupational Employment Statistics for the state and sub-state areas in accordance with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) guidelines. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Labor Market Analyst will:
- Occupational Employment and Wage Data Editing and Coding
- Verify employment discrepancies and parent-child relations.
- Review occupational titles and wage data.
- Contact employers for data verification or solicitation.
- Review final BLS estimates for adjustments.
- Review and correct Quality Assurance edits generated by Occupation and Wage Data Network (OWDN) System.
- Research, review, and update assigned addresses and telephone numbers.
- Analyze and interpret data using various statistical and mathematical techniques.
- Prepare and present reports communicating the results of data analysis.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.
