Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Oversee the compression of material to make bales; Remove and dispose of contaminated materials as needed
Keep heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs
Operate various fixed and/or mobile equipment; observing varying conditions; adjusting equipment controls
Operates equipment to move material around the warehouse/yard
Sort material by grade, size and per customer specs
Transport material using assigned equipment
What You'll Need
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus
Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints and contribute to the team
Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Experience in either recycling or manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with metal sorting a plus but not required; to include the ability to distinguish between different metals and/or other materials for grading purposes and recognizing safety hazards
Your Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
