Process Piping BIM Designer (Senior Level) – Semiconductor / Datacenter
  • Locations must reside by: Phoenix, AZ | Salt Lake City, UT | Boise, ID
  • Work Modality: In-Office or Hybrid (3 days per week)
  • Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (Direct Hire also considered)
  • Compensation: $50 – $60/HR (Contract) | $100-1$25K annually (Direct Hire)
OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Process Piping BIM Designer with proven experience in wastewater, semiconductor, or datacenter projects — Intel project experience is required. This is a senior-level role that combines advanced technical design skills with leadership responsibilities.You’ll join a collaborative engineering environment where you’ll lead BIM execution, mentor junior designers, and serve as the Project CAD/BIM Lead across complex, multidisciplinary projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of design execution while shaping and mentoring a high-performing design team.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead project BIM execution and serve as the Project CAD/BIM Lead
  • Develop piping system layouts, spacing, valve/in-line components, and fittings in 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Generate fabrication isometric drawings from 3D models
  • Provide clash detection reporting using Autodesk Navisworks or Bentley Navigator
  • Coordinate modeling/drawing production across all project disciplines
  • Generate quantities, parts lists, and model interrogation data reports
  • Oversee quality assurance and conformance with CAD/BIM standards
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff
  • Convert data between MicroStation and AutoCAD as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of engineering design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or GED equivalent
  • Intel semiconductor or datacenter project experience is required
  • Strong understanding of wastewater, semiconductor, or datacenter facility systems
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D design concepts and process mechanical piping design
  • Expert in Autodesk Revit MEP or Bentley OpenPlant Modeler
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D & 3D)
  • Knowledge of AWWA and ANSI B16 piping standards
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing design teams
  • Effective mentor with proven ability to train and develop junior staff (references from previous mentees are a plus)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
