Software is an integral part in realizing this vision and we are hiring a software manager to play a leadership role shaping our future.Position Summary:The Portfolio Controls Manager is responsible for analyzing cost and schedule data for a large volume of fast-paced EV charging infrastructure projects.Acting as a conduit between internal cross-functional teams including but not limited to Development Engineering, Utility Integration, Project Deployment, and Site Development the Portfolio Controls Manager will track, analyze, and report on project performance including costs, schedule, and resources.The successful candidate will have prior knowledge working with project schedules on infrastructure projects and will have demonstrated experience for analyzing large amounts of data from ERPs, have excellent attention to detail, and be a self-starter, problem-solver, and team player.The position is remote and will serve within the Operational Excellence function for sites across the United StatesResponsibilities:
  • Analyze current and historical project schedules to identify trends, patterns, and variations in milestone durations across multiple projects.
  • Develop and implement system controls and data governance protocols within project management tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and clarity of scheduling and performance data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Development Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Grid Integration, and Field Operations—to support standardized scheduling and reporting practices.
  • Design and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with operational workflows and support consistency across departments.
  • Partner with operational team leads and leadership to evaluate, document, and optimize end-to-end project delivery processes.
  • Create, manage, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into individual and team performance.
  • Conduct productivity assessments of teams and individuals using available data, and develop visualizations or reports to communicate findings.
  • Recommend and support the implementation of performance metrics, benchmarks, and KPIs to track operational efficiency and project health.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in project controls, data structure, and scheduling analysis to guide process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support the roll-out and training of new processes and SOPs to ensure adoption and compliance across all relevant teams.
  • Work closely with leadership to align project controls strategies with business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms and project management systems through regular audits and checks.
Qualifications:
  • BS/ MS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management
  • 5–8 years in project scheduling, project controls, or business operations, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, energy, or heavy construction.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency in tools like Salesforce ERP management software (ideally Sitetracker, or similar). Tableau experience is a plus
  • Ability to proactively identify scheduling risks and propose realistic mitigations.
  • Skilled in presenting data, findings, and recommendations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working with a large amount of data to derive operational insights and planning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Utility, Renewables (commercial solar, energy storage) experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Taking initiative, working independently, and launching projects without direct supervision
  • Success influencing stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $130,000.00 USD to $155,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
