Under limited supervision of the School Based Services (SBS) Coordinator, employee will perform direct SBS by providing therapeutic intervention with youth at risk for social, emotional, behavioral, and/or academic difficulties in designed Spartanburg County Schools. Increase collaborative efforts between SAMHC, the School Districts, and Community organizations, involving all in the implementation process. Provides services in a culturally sensitive manner. Assists SBS Coordinator with the task of increasing public awareness and appropriate utilization of SBS.
- Provides Assessment, Individual, Group, and Family Therapy services.
- Provides consultation, education, and prevention strategies to families, school personnel, etc. relating to community mental health issues.
A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or a related field.
