- Required: System Administrator experience in addition to building/maintaining reporting, integrations, and security.
- Preferred: Workday Studio experience, Business Process experience or familiarity.
- Is a master of assigned application(s) and applied workflows including clinical, technical, and operational.
- Is capable of working on all aspects of the assigned application’s projects, task requests, and support without the assistance from managers, leads, or other analysts.
- Subject Matter Expert in the development, testing, validation, and optimization of the assigned application(s).
- Serves as a knowledge resource for the team, department, and internal end user clients related to both the assigned application(s), clinical workflow, interdependencies, and downstream impact on other applications and operational processes.
- Evaluates and recommends solutions for complicated projects and workflows by working directly with end users and HIT staff across the organization.
- Service oriented and seeks to improve customer service and responsiveness.
- Primary contributor when troubleshooting problems and recommending solutions.
- Master of application design, dependencies, and interrelationships with other connected systems and modules.
- Development, testing, validation, and maintenance of assigned applications.
- Utilize technical background and subject matter expertise to build and support the application.
- Serve as a resource in promoting the understanding, integration, and application of information technology in healthcare settings and workflows.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of clinical, technical, and operational workflows to properly optimize the assigned application.
- Provide support to end users for software implementations, updates, new version releases, and documentation of project issues along with resolutions.
- Complete testing and workflow validation of assigned applications and modifications before implementation into all environments.
- Gathering end user requirements and evaluating complicated workflows by working directly with end users.
- Oversee implementation of upgrades and service updates.
- Participate in on call coverage rotation as assigned.
- Follow team standard operating procedures, polices, and use organization standard templates.
- Maintaining focus on customer service and responsiveness.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Mastering HIT tools, applications, and processes.
- Maintain fluency in HIT and industry best practices, tools, applications, certifications, and processes.
- Follow departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Workday System Administrator experience covering reporting, integrations, security, business processes, and a basic understanding of Workday architecture.
- Four or more years’ experience supporting ERP systems:
- Workday Financial and Supply Chain experience.
- Infor Lawson S3 Financial and Procurement experience.
- Previous work as a systems analyst.
- Enterprise application support and experience troubleshooting software.
- Knowledge of clinical and/or business workflows.
- Experience with application configuration tools to support clinical or business systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail oriented with a desire and ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work productively in teams and independently.
- Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in clinical and business strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Viso).
- IT issue tracking software or "ticketing" systems (e.g. Service Now).
- Four or more years’ experience supporting technology systems.
- Experience with project implementations and project management.
- SQL proficiency.
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret clinical and business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Working knowledge of networks and PC operating systems.
- Understanding of industry standard message formats (e.g. HL7, X12, and XML).
- Workday PRO certification(s) preferred but not required.
