- Schedule service for customers either in person or on the phone to ensure a prompt and accurate diagnosis of any problem
- Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations
- Prepares repair order (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Communicate estimated completion time, regular updates and follow through on each customer vehicle
- Carefully inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing and accuracy
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards
- Ford experience preferred
- One or more years Service Writer experience
- CDK/ADP experience
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
