- Accelerate growth and increase lifetime value of our relationships with new and emerging biotechs and meet or exceed Goal Tree metrics for success
- Proactively engage new customers by using existing relationships where possible, in order to develop influential relationships and identify new partnership opportunities
- Act as primary point of contact to streamline customer experience, while working to engage divisional colleagues as necessary
- Translate deep customer insights into meaningful partnership opportunities that deliver value to both our customers and Thermo Fisher
- Lead the AMTs in the creation of overall territory and account strategy, using our breadth and depth of capabilities to create high-impact, innovative, science- and customer-centric solutions
- Build credible, influential relationships with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, and help facilitate customer access for our divisional colleagues
- Work closely with customers and industry organizations to develop a deep understanding of focus technology areas and organizational imperatives, as well as the competitive landscape to inform the evolution of our Biotech customer value proposition.
- Act as the primary interface between our strategic partners and Thermo Fisher, sourcing new needs/opportunities, and supporting resolution of critical issues
- Formulate and recommend pricing strategies and negotiate complex deal structures
- Create a successful, inclusive, and trustworthy work environment that foster our 4i values
- B.Sc. degree in a scientific field (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc), preferably with experience working within a life science laboratory; MBA or professional business education is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior level account management or business development position within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, contract research or laboratory supply sectors
- Experience working within a matrix environment and driving alignment on a common purpose despite occasionally competing/conflicting interests
- Strong business and financial competence, including understanding of the P&L drivers, dynamics, and trade-offs
- Deep and sincere passion for creating an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and like programs helpful.
- Positive attitude and resiliency to changing business environments
- High level of motivation and ability / willingness to spend significant time on site at customer locations
- Travel 0-25%
