As the Case Management Supervisor, you will manage the daily client service operations of the programs which identify and assess client and family needs, including effective monitoring and compliance of program policies and procedures as they relate to client supportive services. You will also coordinate service delivery to ensure that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met. Specifically, as the CMS you will provide such oversight for direct assistance and case management programs that serve residents in any of the jurisdictions that make up the Northern Virginia region.Benefits and Compensation: We want you to be well, have work/life flexibility, grow your career with us, and have the resources and support you need.   • Supervise program staff including conducting regular individual and group staff meetings and case consultation; ensure proper client to staff ratio and monitor case files for quality and completeness.
  • Identify and fulfill staffing needs in coordination with Program Manager and Director; work collaboratively with each staff member on talent development process to set job and development goals; approve timesheets, leave and reimbursement requests; provide ongoing staff orientation and training to enable direct service staff to deliver client service effectively.
  • Provide consultative case management to partner agency staff to ensure that service delivery is of high quality and performed according to and within the programmatic policies and procedures, and contractual/licensing requirements.
  • Conduct regular and timely supervision according to established program guidelines.
Program Coordination:
  • Recommend program development strategies that align with best practices.
  • Implement programs ensuring goals, objectives and outcomes are met.
  • Ensure that service delivery is of high quality and performed according to and within the NVFS policies and procedures, and contractual/licensing requirements.
Client Service Delivery:
  • Monitor cases from initial referral through discharge, promoting efficient and effective client services and administration procedures. This includes adequate client record keeping and statistical and performance outcome reporting.
  • Ensure that service delivery is performed according to and within the NVFS mission, policy and procedural directions, case management model, and contractual requirements.
Compliance and Reporting Requirements:
  • Work in collaboration with the Government Grants Manager to:
  • Provide input to prepare narrative and statistical reports to the Agency measuring expenditures, outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Ensure that program maintenance of data in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and MARS/ Apricot meets or exceeds requirements in assigned program areas.
Community Outreach/Resource Participation:
  • Coordinate programmatic activities such as developing outreach materials.
  • Fulfill agency and funding requirements for participation and presentations at community events, meetings, workshops and conferences.
Your Background: We understand that you may obtain skills through a variety of professional, personal, educational, and volunteer experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • At least four (4) years of related work experience in case management, direct services and/or working within community housing programs
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience providing direct supervision of staff strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with precariously housed and/or at-risk populations; demonstrated understanding of systemic issues that affect low income and marginalized people, specifically communities of color
  • Familiarity and/or experience with databases and/or HMIS preferred
  • Experience within the working community continuum of care a plus
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills, ability to build rapport with others
  • Oral and written fluency in English; additional language skills always welcome
