Work as part of a network function virtualization (NFV) research team. Maintain responsibility for designing and introducing unique, open, innovative, and compelling NFV solutions for wired and wireless advanced carrier infrastructure as well as enterprise and consumer edge technologies. Help maintain responsibility for the design, configuration, implementation, and adoption of OpenStack-based Cloud infrastructure platforms for telecom network functions and evolved packet core to develop complex Cloud-based solutions.
-Experience with Linux, including Red Hat and SuSE
-Experience with the OpenStack framework
-Experience with scripting languages, including Python, Perl, and Bash
-Experience with Cloud infrastructure, including Compute, Network, Storage, and Backup
-Experience with software defined networks (SDN)
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree or 4+ years of experience with networking
-Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
-Experience with developing software in a Linux-environment using C or C++
-Experience with software defined networks (SDN), network function virtualization, and testing of Telco applications over a Cloud infrastructure
-Experience with evolved packet core components (EPC), including SGSN-MME, SGW, PGW, GGSN, PCEF, PCRF, DNS, OCS, routers, or firewalls
-Experience with deploying IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS
-Knowledge of API design and Object-Oriented principles
-Knowledge of 3GPP standards, network protocols, procedures, implementation, and call flows
-Ability to build complex Cloud-based solutions
