The Nurse Educator is responsible for the instruction of the Home Health Aide training, orientation, and in-service education for both applicants and active employees. This Nurse Educator adheres to all Federal, State, Local and Company policies and regulations. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
Follow the regulations of the Home Health Agency Aide Only Licensure and HHA curreiculum
Supervise classroom and clinical work
Evaluate classwork and assignments
Administer and grade examinations
Maintain student attendance, grades, and other required records
Participate in student recruitment
Select and obtain materials and supplies for the course
Demonstrate Patient Care in clinical units
Complete in-office trainings and continuing education for existing caregivres
Promote a positive and welcoming environment that embodies the company
Communicate needs, concerns, or ideas to direct supervisors
Requirements:
Registered and in good standing as a License Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with the Delaware State Board of Nursing (or compact state)
At least 2 years of experience in acute care, public health, nursing facility or home health agency
Attention to detail, be organized and possess strong communication skills
Have a passion for education
Satisfactory reference from prior employers
