Work Schedule:
  • Currently operating in a Hybrid work environment for its office employees.
  • This requires non-manufacturing employees to work a mandatory 2 days a week in the office during core work hours (Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM). The work location for this position is: Easton, PA 18044. This schedule could change in the future depending on internal and external factors.
Sr. SQL Programmer AnalystResponsibilities:
  • Perform all the activities that support the development and maintenance of new applications.
  • Ability to extract manufacturing PLC data from SQL databases (SQL stored procedures) and display data on management front-end web-based dashboards, or business intelligence/analytic tools (such as PowerBI).
  • Code programs, create code libraries, and run tests to determine software defects.
  • Develop and maintain in-house developed applications.
  • Write APIs between existing and new applications, both on-prem and SaaS based.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications
to meet changing user requirements. * Work as a Project Manager to evaluate business needs, create a plan on how best to meetthose needs, and communicate a time frame for correction of issues and/or
implementation of new processes. * Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applicationsto meet changing user requirements. * Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements, preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
  • Enhance existing custom application performance by optimizing the SQL statements/procedures within the database which the application is built on.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in professional societies.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain the procedures that aid in system recovery in case of disaster.
  • Work with IS Operations to ensure that systems are transferred to a production status once the new system has been implemented or an older system has been upgraded.
  • Serve as back up to System Analyst and support production operations by resolving incidents within their SLA.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.
  • Maintain computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university program with 8+ years’ manufacturing system experience in large systems design and implementation using relational database technology, advanced programming tools as well as experience in working with application users and technical staff in a team environment. Experience in developing Client/Server, and Web-Based applications. *OR* Associate’s degree in Computer Science with 12+ years’ manufacturing system experience in large systems design and implementation using relational database technology, advanced programming tools as well as experience in working with application users and technical staff in a team environment. Experience in developing Client/Server, and Web-Based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL. With the ability to write new, and troubleshoot, existing stored procedures.
  • Worked with PLC data previously
  • Ability to successfully develop in HTML, CSS, Javascript, .NET and front-end business intelligent/analytic tools.
  • Ability to develop APIs using open restAPI scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of web-based architectures, relational databases, database architecture and data loading and extraction practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
  • Familiar with a variety of the IS field’s best practices, concepts and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • Knowledge of applications related to the manufacturing environment (Rockwell, Johnson Controls, Allen Bradley, etc. a plus).
  • Some travel maybe required.
