The Hazard Communication & Chemical Compliance Specialist manages the creation, review, and approval of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels, ensuring compliance with OSHA, GHS, TSCA, and other regulatory standards. The role supports laboratory and industrial chemical hygiene, oversees chemical registrations, and serves as a resource for the Haz-Com team. This position collaborates with internal teams and external consultants to maintain safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across operations.PERKS:

- Create, review, and approve Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels, ensuring compliance with OSHA, GHS, TSCA, and international regulations.
- Administer the WERCS program, maintaining accurate templates, chemical registrations, and documentation for new and existing substances.
- Provide chemical hygiene guidance, training, and support for industrial hygiene practices across labs and plant operations.
- Collaborate with lab staff, product managers, and consultants to resolve compliance, labeling, and import/export issues.
- Mentor the Hazard Communications team, oversee special projects, and serve as backup for corporate chemical hygiene oversight.
- Uphold safety, quality, and ISO standards while responding to internal and external inquiries and maintaining company policy compliance.
- Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry, Industrial hygiene, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Certified on and able to interpret written code for IMDG, IATA, DOT, OSHA, and GHS regulations.
- Strong Chemistry knowledge and understanding of TSCA.
- Understand and implement OSHA standards.
