Job Description:OverviewReceives verbal and/or written instructions from Supervisor. Operate machine machines in accordance with all established safety procedures, to produce each product in accordance with the quality parameters established for all products. Transport roll stock as required, fill and ensure proper operation of Machine Communicate with supervisor, maintenance personnel, packers, line leaders and all necessary employees regarding the conditions of equipment, changes in settings, problems with the equipment. Maintain area and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Setup and tear down equipment as required by the supervisor to maintain an efficient operation.Shift: M-F 11 pm - 7 am.
ResponsibilitiesOperates machine to produce quality products in accordance with all established specifications:
  • Must have the ability and knowledge to understand instructions and underlying principles.
  • Ability and knowledge to follow instructions.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the equipment and operation
  • Ability and knowledge to perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
  • Ability and knowledge to read understand and apply technical information regarding the equipment (manual, blueprints, etc.)
  • Must be able to prepare written check sheets required on a daily basis.
  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical ability.
  • Must be extremely responsible and capable of taking on Lead person responsibilities as needed.
Physical demands such as:
  • Manage packaging, as well as bending, reaching, pulling in handling cases and packaging supplies, etc.
  • Must use hand tools for machine adjustments
  • Climb ladders as needed.
  • Keeping work area clean and orderly in keeping with the Employee Area Acceptance Program.
  • Applicant must demonstrate their ability to maintain production pace while multitasking, (checking equipment, changing roll stacks as needed, assist on palletizing, checking weights at desired intervals, etc).
  • Performs all other jobs as assigned

QualificationsMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees regarding Doboy conditions and mechanical problems.Must show up on time and work weekends as scheduled.Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift with a 30 minute lunch break.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to perform the essential job requirements with or without accommodation.Basic math skillsHigh degree of mechanical apptitude
