Job TitleSheetfed Press Operator – 2nd ShiftJob SummaryImpress Communications, a premier printing and packaging provider based in Chatsworth, CA, is seeking an experienced Sheetfed Press Operator to join our 2nd shift team (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday). We specialize in high-end folding cartons and commercial print for the cosmetics and beauty industries. As part of our pressroom team, you will operate and maintain state-of-the-art Komori sheetfed presses to deliver exceptional quality and precision on every run.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and troubleshoot Komori sheetfed offset presses to meet daily production goalsPerform color matching, registration, and quality checks in real timeComplete accurate press checks and make adjustments to maintain consistency and print standardsConduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure press performanceRead and interpret job tickets and customer specifications for each runCollaborate with prepress and finishing teams to optimize workflowEnsure compliance with company safety, cleanliness, and 5S standardsQualifications/Skills3+ years of experience operating sheetfed offset presses (Komori experience strongly preferred)Strong understanding of ink densities, color theory, and print specificationsAbility to read job tickets and follow verbal and written instructionsMechanical aptitude and attention to detailFamiliarity with quality control processes and safety protocolsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCertifications in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma (preferred but not required)Work EnvironmentClimate-controlled pressroom in a clean, high-volume production facilityStanding for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs as neededExposure to machinery, noise, and occasional solvents/inks (PPE provided)Collaborative, safety-first environment with a high standard for quality outputSalary/BenefitsHourly pay range: $25–$40/hour based on experienceFull-time, direct hire with overtime opportunitiesBenefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k)
