We are seeking a visionary Head of Machine Learning to lead the development and deployment of advanced ML/AI solutions for our health system. This executive role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, managing a team of data scientists and ML engineers while driving innovation in patient care, clinical operations, and healthcare outcomes.Responsibilities:Lead technical design, hands-on development, and deployment of ML solutionsOversee research and development, deciding when to build vs. buy solutionsEnsure trustworthy AI practices, mitigating bias and ensuring regulatory complianceEngage, educate, and influence senior stakeholders across clinical, operational, and technical teamsMentor and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and software developersDrive continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of ML solutions across the organizationQualifications:BS and MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field (PhD preferred)10+ years of experience developing, deploying, and scaling ML solutionsHealthcare experience preferred or demonstrated ability to quickly pivot to healthcareStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsHands-on experience with ML pipelines, model deployment, and MLOps best practices
