The TerraPower Laboratory supports a variety of projects with evolving needs. It is a dynamic environment with a highly engaged workforce.Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily operational/laboratory support to ensure facility is functional and adequate to support TerraPower operations.
  • Maintain housekeeping and supplies i.e. restock PPE stations, empty garbage cans, floor cleaning, fire extinguisher and safety shower checks, etc.
  • Facilitate movement of equipment and furniture between the lab and warehouse spaces.
  • Assisting with warehouse & lab organization.
  • Assisting with various facilities maintenance activities.
  • Escorting vendors.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Some college or relevant certifications are a plus).
  • Previous experience in a facilities or maintenance role is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools.
  • Ability to commit to at least 25 hours per week in a part-time employee status.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet-jacks or forklifts is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with employees, management is a plus.
  • Ability to work a modified schedule and overtime as workload and project schedules dictate.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Must be flexible and able to quickly adjust to new or changing projects/tasks and schedules.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrating self-motivation and initiative is preferred.
