- Oversee the end-to-end process of geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, including geotechnical engineers, geologists, project managers, and technicians.
- Conduct technical reviews for project proposals, reports, and calculations to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage department financials, including budgeting, revenue tracking, and forecasting.
- Set performance goals for the team and facilitate skills development through training and mentorship.
- Support senior leadership in business development efforts through client engagement and community involvement.
- Foster a positive department culture, aligned with company values and focused on high employee engagement.
- Experience: 10+ years in civil or geotechnical engineering with a proven record in leadership, budget management, and business development.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L.
- Client Engagement: Demonstrated experience in client relationship-building and business development.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical studies; active Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire.
