- Oversee the project execution from: design review, detailing, fabrication, installation, and project close out.
- Interact with clients, field personnel, detailers, subcontractors, and the project team during all stages of the project.
- Provide field information and schedules to the support the team.
- Maintain and update project schedules
- Conduct field measurements or verifications of dimensions as contractually required.
- Schedule Installs with our contract installers
- Verify Installers have drawings and all necessary hardware for install
- QC all field installations prior to approval of payment.
- Review installers invoices and approve them on a weekly basis.
- Work with Detailing Project Managers to coordinate production updates and changes
- Generation of RFI’s, Change Orders
- Create schedule of values
- Evaluate project for potential cost impacts or savings
- Coordinate shop drawings with detailers
- Ensure timely shop drawing submittals and approvals
- Communicate with the customer, inner office departments, shop, and field personnel
- Visit sites to review the progress of your job
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years plus project Management experience with fabrication and installation of structural steel and miscellaneous metals required
- Knowledge of codes for stairs and rails required
- Familiarity with AISC and ASTM requirements required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management skills including scheduling, drawing submittals, change orders submittals, initiating RFI’s, budgeting of projects, submitting pay applications, project coordination and planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of assorted sizes and levels of complexity.
- A team-player with the ability to communicate to all different members of the project team is essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft 365 Suite. Smartsheet and Teams used regularly.
- Capable of working under stress.
- OSHA Certified.
- Some Saturdays could be required to work and supervise a specific task.
- Daily travel to projects is required; 10-20% travel requirement outside of assigned projects/territory.
