Job Description:Work Schedule:Per Diem. Minimum requirement of 16 hours per week, including every other weekend. Day/Evening shift. Flexible schedule options may be available. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.Pay:

  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.
  • Demonstrate exemplary teamwork and work as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team.
  • Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.
The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience performing in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to this role.At UW Health, you will have:

Education:Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred - Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training programWork Experience:Minimum - Six (6) months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school.Licenses and Certifications:Minimum - As defined by the enactment of 2021 WI Act 100, all candidates hired into this role on or after March 1, 2023, must apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Dept of Safety and Professional Services (“DSPS”), and provide proof of application to their UW Health Recruiter prior to their start date. Failure to do so will result in delay of start date or withdrawal of offer.
