Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not currently supervise or manage any employee(s) directly.Position SummaryThe Research Technician is responsible for performing and completing a variety of tasks within the Research and Development department under the direct supervision of their manager. These responsibilities include maintaining research standards, ensuring the integrity of trials, and upholding a safe work environment.Job Description
  • Execute and maintain greenhouse technical trials.
  • Collect data and photographs trials.
  • Maintain trial and lab database records.
  • Collect routine samples for testing across greenhouse.
  • Process media/water/fertilizer QC samples and grower submitted samples.
  • Assist with lab tasks as needed.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills with team members and across multiple departments
  • Proven ability to multitask and collaborate as a team player.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office experience; primarily Excel.
Job Setting & Physical DemandsThis position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for walking, standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility safely, including but not limited to driving the scooter.
