Minimum Qualifications
- Education: BS/BA in Accounting or related field.
- Years of Experience: 5+ years relevant accounting experience.
- Experience using Sage Intacct Software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Advanced Level Excel (pivot tables, v/h lookup, sum-if, if-then statements, etc.).
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to research accounting issues and handle several projects at once.
- Develop, enhance, and monitor compliance of accounting policies and internal controls.
- Support CFO to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process. Concurrently perform multiple assignments and special projects as assigned.
- Perform variance analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually on G&A accounts and other key accounts. Present results to senior management.
- Provided support and preparation and review, general ledger review and maintenance, account reconciliation and variance analysis. Preparation and review of account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Research and analysis of complex non-routine accounting issues and interpretation of GAAP.
- Oversight of fixed asset accounting, maintenance of capitalization policy and inventory of fixed assets.
- Oversight of inventory accounting including documentation of and improvement to current inventory accounting process. Monthly review of inventory activity and reconciliation of subledger to the general ledger.
- Provide support for regulatory and financial statement audits.
- Participated in the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements (including income, property, sales and use, payroll, and other local taxes), insurance reports and other reporting.
- Plan, schedule and facilitate quarterly job cost review meetings.
- Plan, schedule and facilitate annual budget meetings with profit center managers.
