- Develop the design of major hydraulic components for complete projects of varying magnitude and scope.
- Maintain test specification database including winch hydraulic parameters for end-of-line test stands in both Broken Arrow and Okmulgee production facilities.
- Coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other groups and departments within the company.
- Direct and conduct necessary research incidental to design, and apply engineering techniques gained through study or experience, frequently requiring independent evaluation.
- Collaborate with external customers to verify hydraulic integration and function of winch product meets expectations.
- Complete design projects and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation, and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion.
- Identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and Quality Assurance issues as appropriate, including support of material sourcing plans with purchasing to support production needs.
- Develop, maintain, and present project metrics such as cost, performance, and milestones/timelines as directed.
- Utilize Creo and Windchill as the CAD and data management system.
- Utilize and maintain Six Sigma, DFSS and Lean tools throughout the design and validation process.
- May lead engineering resources personnel.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related degree. Pay grade level and compensation dependent on level of experience and education.
- Knowledge and / or experience in fluid power / hydraulic field
- Fluid power / hydraulic industry certifications desired
- Experience in machine design of parts and systems
- Creo / Windchill experience desired
- 3+ Yrs. design experience in related industry
- Experience leading teams
