As a proactive security partner for some of the country's leading companies and organizations, we provide careers for talented people to become part of a successful, growing company.Job Skills / RequirementsHIRING IMMEDIATELYSunstates Security is currently hiring Utility Officers (FLEX Officers) in the Cleveland, Statesville and Salisbury, NC area. with a pay rate of $17/hr -weekly pay.Description:The Utility Officer is an on-call officer position that covers posts as needed that are open due to call offs, staff shortages or client requested extra coverage. (Must have open Availability)Key Responsibilities:In addition to the requirements of regular security officers, the UTILITY Officer is expected to maintain detailed notes on all sites that they train at to provide seamless service to the clients when they must cover that post.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be organized and be able to keep track of time for post worked and submit to Operations manager no later than 10am on Friday.
Quality Standards:Comes to work whether called in or scheduled in advance; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). Refusal to accept assignments may result in:o Failure to receive sufficient hours per week.o Removal from the UTILITY program.Has a neat, professional appearance while in mandated uniform. All posts are nonsmoking posts.Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling routine and crisis type situations efficiently and professionally.Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations.Must report all concerns to management noted on sites assigned.Qualifications:Must have a clean driving record if assigned to a driving post.Generally: 1 year or more of security experience. (Manager Discretion)Basic computer skills and cell phone literacyGood to excellent verbal and written skillsAble to provide and deliver quality customer serviceAbility to make good decisions (judgement and common sense)Ability to work a Flexible schedule and to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as requested (Open availability is a must!!)Reliable transportation to get to work site.Well-motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.Must maintain reliable means of communication to be contacted by management.Requirements:
  • Current or prior security experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
