- Integrate internal APIs with frontend applications and external APIs to provide seamless functionality.
- Expand and enhance REST API capabilities using OpenAPI specifications.
- Develop new backend features to improve the customer-facing product suite.
- Optimize API performance and reduce latency through SQL tuning, caching, background tasks, and monitoring tools.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs reported by end users.
- Refactor legacy code to modern standards and improve code maintainability.
- Expand automated test coverage to ensure application stability and reliability.
- 5–10 years of professional experience as a Python Developer, preferably with Flask (Django experience considered).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working directly with databases without an ORM.
- Experience in consumer-facing applications with high-performance requirements.
- Knowledge of integrating external APIs for payments, CRM, loyalty, or marketing applications.
- Hands-on experience with Celery, Redis, Docker, Linux, and AWS is a plus.
- Experience working on established codebases and taking ownership of modules.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems proactively.
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Availability to work at least until 4 pm US Eastern Time.
