Accounting ManagerWe are working with a healthcare company in the Triangle who is in search of a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a CPA credential.Responsibilities:
  • Manage all general accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting processes, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Supervise the daily work and closing tasks of the accounting team, provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate and assist with audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credential preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes as well as internal control & SOX compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to take on new projects, problem-solve, and drive process improvement in responsible areas to ensure processes and systems are efficient and effective.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
