Be a part of changing the future of energy, with a people forward company that believes in your success.Position SummaryWe are helping to accelerate the transition to clean energy by working directly with enterprise level companies to consult on corporate ESG initiatives and implement renewable energy projects. This position will support the C&I development team to oversee the full lifecycle of the investment process, from initial project pricing analysis and deal review to due diligence and execution, bringing strategic insight and expertise to our investment decisions. The Power Markets Analyst will be responsible for deriving accurate pricing for on-site solar power purchase agreements for C&I customers across the United States. This dynamic and fast-paced position involves managing multiple pricing proposals simultaneously, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of investment analysis and risk exposure.RequirementsResponsibilities
  • Analyze and collect market data by collaborating with the analyst team and various development team members
  • Establish a market database for key regions including average cost of power, SREC values, and local incentives
  • Establish standard operating procedures and PPA pricing methodology
  • Develop market-based pricing tools for behind-the-meter and community solar
  • Provide prompt feedback on pricing requests and project support utilizing Salesforce and Energy Toolbase
  • Serve as a key player in investment analysis ensuring that all pricing components and structures meet internal return thresholds
  • Identify risk components and pricing characteristics for each project
  • Construct and manage complex financial models related to project lifecycle, structured finance, tax equity, and SREC forecasts
  • Populate term sheets for front end development team and identify key assumptions and deal risks
  • Collaborate with development and technical teams to identify design optimization for competitive pricing
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to value engineer portfolio pricing for large corporate customers
  • Participate and interact with several departments and teams including account executives, account development, sales enablement, legal, construction and development analysts to complete deal evaluation processes
  • Assist in legal documentation review and negotiation of transaction structures
  • Coordinate fundamental credit risk analysis of counterparties in a range of industry verticals and generate shadow ratings using credit rating models
  • Collaborate with Project Development Coordinator to review Tier II technical due diligence and identify risk
  • Conduct financial due diligence and update financial models during Tier II investigations
  • Review technical documentation (EPC Contract, equipment specifications, warranties, studies, etc.) during due diligence and construction stage
  • Support the Project Development Coordinator and Account Executive in developing investment committee documentation
  • Maintain comprehensive reporting to Chief Investment Officer and Chief Revenue Officer on portfolio of projects at various stages
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, data analytics or business management
  • 1-3 years in renewable energy project development and due diligence
  • Exceptional analysis, editing and writing skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Experience analyzing power market data
