About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Production Director with a strong background in apparel products to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead and drive the execution of the Production department and partner with other departments to ensure timely execution and delivery of all Love in Faith programs. This candidate must possess a deep knowledge of supply chain, material sourcing, cost negotiation, garment production processes and an understanding of inventory & import logistics. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual who is a flexible problem-solver and takes full ownership and responsibility for all production-related tasks.Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the production department, setting and achieving clear objectives in line with Love in Faith's mission and growth goals.
  • Develop & Manage timelines effectively to ensure product availability and launch readiness.
  • Oversee the entire apparel production process, from fabric selection to the final garment finishing, ensuring all products meet Love in Faith's high standards for quality and design.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors and suppliers. Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Manage and direct the Technical Designer to ensure technical packages are comprehensive and meet the product’s goals for delivery, function, cost, fit and commercial viability.
  • Work closely with the Product Development, Design, Marketing, and E-Commerce departments to align production schedules with company-wide initiatives, ensuring a cohesive product launch and availability strategy.
  • Partner with Planning, Logistics & Sales to facilitate and expedite order urgency.
  • Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures throughout the production process. Address and resolve any quality issues swiftly, setting up preventive measures for the future.
  • Create & manage a Love in Faith Supplier Guide ensuring that all suppliers have the information for correctly packing, labeling, shipping and invoicing all orders.
  • Develop and manage the production budget, carefully monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising on product quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile Management, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in apparel production, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of the apparel production lifecycle, including expertise in fabric sourcing, garment construction, and finishing techniques.
  • Proven track record in managing production operations effectively, with a strong emphasis on quality control and timeline management.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a robust network within the textile and garment manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Physical Demands

  • Confident decision-making skills. You will need to review data and make sound decisions on what actions to take and make confident recommendations to senior management. You may need to make decisions quickly with limited amounts of information in urgent situations.
  • Data analysis & interpretation. You will have to process and review a lot of information from a variety of sources, understand how data is collected, assess data quality, and how to use the information.
  • Communication skills. You need to have advanced communication skills in both oral and written form. Emails and written communication with colleagues and external partners, written reports for senior executives. Able to communicate complex financial information to people outside of the finance department.
  • Comfortable with technology. Able to navigate data through computers, mobile, software, databases. Stay up to date with technology advances.
  • Oriented to detail. Financial forecasts rely on projections which can be impacted by even minor changes in sales patterns, consumer sentiment, economic shifts, competitor changes, etc. You will need to be attuned to small changes in all streams of data.
