
Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer

- Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
- Reacting to customer required travel in a timely manner, while bringing all required diagnostic equipment.
- Completing documentation of findings/recommendations.
- Engaging in professional communications with customers and other team members.
- Determining and directing placement of Balance weights.
- Performing Asset Management / Reliability Service Studies.
- Preparing timely Work Order requests, quick quotes, and invoicing packages.
- Assessing job site Safety.
- Understanding T&C commitments.
- Installing transducers and configuring monitoring systems.
- Completing alignment - Reverse Dial, Laser, Optical Methodologies.
- Have a bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
- Have Minimum 3 years of industry (energy and/or oil & gas) experience ideally with Vibration Analysis.
- Be available for extensive travel, up to 70%, and significant over-time (paid).
- Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
- Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
- Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of Reliability Services.
- ISO certification for vibration analysis.
- Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
- Experience working under stressful working conditions.
- Project Management Skills.
- Solid computer skills using MS Office software.
- Mechanical trouble shooting skills. "Hands-on approach".
- Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.
- Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems.
- Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, Pd.M. data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment.
- Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and services.
