Typical Job Functions:
Develop, implement, and oversee financial strategies to support the hospital's mission and goals to include long-term budgetary planning and cost management.Develop, implement, and oversee procurement to payment strategies and policies to streamline processes and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including the development and monitoring of reliable control systems.Develop, refine, and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Will serve as main contact and coordinator for financial audits.Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Manage the processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to executive management and the governing body.Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team including the evaluation of the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group, as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.Provides direct supervision to the hospital’s finance department to including but not limited to the completion of administrative duties such as timekeeping, performance evaluations, etc. and does so in accordance with hospital policies.Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, board members, auditors, and other external parties. Represent the hospital in financial matters to the board of directors, government agencies, funding agencies, and other stakeholders.Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans through management of the budget requests for hospital operations and capital including implementation of yearly budget work program.Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.Oversee the hospital’s procurement functions, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement activities.Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of hospital activities and initiatives. Advise executive team of actions and potential risks.Will serve as a key stakeholder on the hospital asset inventory and management committee.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with a Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment. Certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) preferred. Oracle PeopleSoft experience preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements related to healthcare finance, strong ethical standards and a commitment to transparency, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.Benefits:
