OverviewThe Gallagher Investments and Fiduciary Services team applies its proven approach to traditional and alternative investments as both an advisor and a discretionary investment manager — including outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) — over defined benefit plans, voluntary employees' beneficiary association (VEBA) plans, defined contribution plans, hybrid or "variable" pension plans, endowments, foundations, healthcare and religious portfolios. With a clear understanding of the benefits and risks to investment decisions, our services help make well-founded, informed investment choices for clients, including:
- Corporations
- Public sector organizations
- Healthcare organizations
- Defined contribution plan sponsors
- Defined benefit plan sponsors
- Pension scheme trustees
- Multi-employer plan trustees
- Endowments, foundations and other institutional fund managers
- Financial advisors
- Strategic setting of investment objectives, strategic asset allocation, performance measurement and evaluation, investment monitoring and reporting, custodian selection, transition advice, statements of investment policy and global research services.
- Primarily focused on providing investment consulting services for assigned client accounts or projects. Services client accounts through contributions to the collection, design, and refining of information for reporting, data analysis, and other activities essential to the needs of the client.
- Produces quarterly performance reports, monthly performance reports, and compliance reviews, performing monthly investment performance calculations and reconciliation, and conducting qualitative and quantitative research; Peer group analysis, fund analysis and reporting, transfer/rebalancing examination, and asset allocation and asset/liability studies; Interacts with client's staff, custodian, investment managers, and attorneys; Proactively communicates with internal stakeholders to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Will typically be the “checker” within the “do, check, review” process.
- Assists in the preparation of client invoices.
- May provide guidance to lower-level staff, but doesn’t typically have formal supervisory responsibility. Responsible for adjusting or recommending solutions in account and investment issues to solve problems or improve effectiveness of client solution.
- Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
- Works under supervision and direction from more senior level roles.
- Works to achieve client and project targets with direct impact on client and department results.
- Works independently or with a team on larger, low to moderately complex client projects/ engagements
- Bachelor’s degree; 3 years related experience.
- Knowledge of key aspects of finance and investment theory and practice and the ability to apply this knowledge to client work.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and MS Office.
- 20% travel
