We are seeking multiple Cleanroom Sanitation Technicians for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Birmingham, AL. This person will support GMP cleanrooms and controlled environmental areas. This critical role involves routine and non-routine cleanroom sanitization, gowning compliance, inventory management, and safety adherence to maintain product quality and regulatory standards.Rate: $20/hr + Benefits offeredPTO & Holiday PaySchedule:
  • Training phase: M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (about 1 month)
  • Post-training: M-F, 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with occasional weekend OT (4 hours twice monthly)
  • Future schedule shifts possible (e.g., Sun-Thurs or Sat-Wed); flexibility for early shifts starting as early as 4:00 AM and variable weekdays is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to gowning procedures and protocols within GMP cleanrooms.
  • Perform routine cleanroom sanitization activities according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in classified and unclassified areas.
  • Collect and safely dispose of all non-hazardous waste from cleanrooms per company guidelines.
  • Retrieve used gowning garments and prepare them for shipment to the launderer.
  • Carry out non-routine sanitization, cleaning, or material movement tasks as directed.
  • Operate basic equipment and perform routine cleanroom tasks following SOPs.
  • Manage stocking, restocking, and inventory tracking of gowning materials, disinfectants, and consumables.
  • Communicate proactively to ensure timely replenishment of low inventory items.
Administrative and Safety Duties:
  • Maintain accurate data entry into company systems and logbooks following good documentation practices.
  • Stay up to date with SOPs, training, and company policies.
  • Attend departmental and group meetings as required.
  • Understand and support adherence to GDP and cGMP requirements.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE based on hazard assessments.
  • Identify and assist in resolving safety concerns proactively.
  • Support cleanroom manufacturing operations through housekeeping, organization, and continuous improvement initiatives like 5S.
  • Assist in ordering cleanroom sanitizers and gowning supplies as directed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in cleanroom or GMP environments is preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work early shifts (starting as early as 4:00 AM) and varying days (including weekends)
  • Detail-focused with strong adherence to procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and maintain cleanliness in controlled environments.
