Title: Materials Testing Technician
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Rocky Hill, CT

Compensation: $22/HRResponsibilities
The candidate will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Dispense adhesives and bond parts
- Test bond strength and physical properties; evaluate, collect, and record data
- Organize and perform experiments using established procedures, summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook
- Enter data into computer systems, including creating charts and tables to communicate project results and details
- Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices
- Follow safety protocols and lab best practices while working with chemicals and lab equipment (with guidance as needed)
- Follow quality protocols according to SOPs and ISO 17025:2017 (with guidance as needed)
- Stand for extended periods while working in the laboratory and lift up to 50 pounds
- Fast learner, team player, with strong note-taking and communication skills
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness, with the ability to perform repetitive hand movements
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills
- Experience handling adhesives and other chemicals is a plus
