CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.Requisition ID 2025-417958 Employment Type Part Time Hours/Pay Period 60 Remote No Category Nursing Leadership Travel No Weekly Schedule 1900-0730 Shift NightJob DetailsResponsibilitiesIn keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for overseeing a number of duties and responsibilities for the overall management of the nursing department. In addition to duties of an administrative nature, the ANM is responsible for managing quality patient care through the nursing process, coordinating the plan of care with the healthcare team, assuming a visible leadership role in the unit, facilitating a work environment that values professional nursing practice and support autonomy, encouraging collaborative relationships and promoting communications up and down the corporate chain of command, and overseeing the completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety reviews, CPR license renewals, and continuing education as required by hospital policy. Additionally, the ANM is responsible for supervising nursing staff assigned to a particular shift, assigning patients to available nursing staff, considering the patient's condition and the employee's skill level, assessing, monitoring, and educating the nursing staff on patient care, instituting emergency procedures as necessary, anticipating staffing needs and proactively responding to them, and overseeing stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with one (1) to two (2) years of work experience in Emergency Department.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current approved health care provider CPR certification - BLS within 30 days from hire date.
  • ACLS Certification within 30 days from hire date..
  • PALS Certification within 30 days from hire date..
  • TNCC Certification, desired.
