Additionally, it is your responsibility
to plan, direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are
met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency. This is a leadership position. It
is your duty to set a leadership example for all bar staff to follow, especially when it comes to providing high level of
customer service, in a friendly, safe, and sanitary environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Must have Micros knowledge with the ability to program and update changes with POS
system.
  • Market the bar/lounge, develop and manage the implementation of menus, promotions,
displays, decorations and presentations to capture more in-house guests and a larger
share of the local market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives.
  • Prepares weekly schedules for outlets.
  • Supervises all bar/lounge staff, ensuring they have the necessary training, tools and
resources to perform their jobs.
  • Observe to and manage the performance of all staff, to ensure adherence to all policies
and procedures, and Associate Handbook compliance.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Oversee accurate and proper cash handling procedures to ensure policy adherence and
the submission of complete and accurate necessary cash handling documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the outlets at all times, encouraging all staff to
contribute towards their cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
  • Promote and practice compliance with fire, health, safety and hygiene standards and
regulations - Works with the Food & Beverage Director and / or General Manager on all
promotions, prices, or any item needing assistance.
  • Ensure the proper set-up of the bar prior to opening.
  • Train and encourage staff to provide outstanding customer service and upsell at all times.
- Locks up all liquor cabinets and refrigerators for closing
  • Maintains audio and video equipment to ensure quest satisfaction.
  • Check liquor and supplies daily to ensure lounge is ready for service.
  • Check liquor inventory used in all areas of the hotel and complete requisition regularly to
order the supplies needed for operation.
  • Check inventory of all supplies needed for banquets and lounge and complete requisition

  • Ensure the proper and correct delivery of all goods are received by checking against all
order documentation and ensure the proper stocking and storing of items received.
  • Plan and implement cost control measures.
  • Plan and implement systems to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Service customers, and outlets staff.
  • Assist banquets and bar staff as needed with preparation to ensure the best service for our
guests.
  • Ensures the front and back of the outlets are clean at all times.
  • Train and develop the team to ensure food & beverage service is to specification, and self and
staff cooperate with chefs and other staff and managers to ensure customers' expectations are
exceeded by ensuring service is as smooth and as continuous as possible. - Praise and recognize
associates for good performance
  • Comply with all food and beverage, safety and sanitary, and federal, state and local regulations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous food and beverage and bar operations supervisory responsibility overseeing related
functions for an upscale or boutique/luxury property of comparable scale
  • Complete working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Responsible alcohol server certification required.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, which could include weekends, mornings, lunch time, and
evenings.
  • Must be a team player, able to work well with others, in a cheerful and friendly manner. - High
level of professional appearance, grooming standards and demeanor. - Exceptional customer
service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a calm manner under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Strong MICROS POS system experience and knowledge as well as strong MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors, in a friendly and
professional manner.
  • Must be able to effectively read and write in English
  • Work environment - Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, Housekeeping Office. Job
involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor settings, and
around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, biohazards and chemicals.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length. Must be willing
and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties.
