- Independently execute tasks using your technical skills for projects in the field of computational fluid dynamics.
- Work as part of a team executing on multi-generation technology programs to enable future design advancements.
- Participate in the development of high-fidelity computational analyses techniques
- You will use both proprietary and commercial CFD solvers.
- Participate in validation & verification efforts to advance computational methodologies and/or to demonstrate new technologies.
- Interface with experimentalists to ensure high quality data acquisition.
- Develop ideas and concepts to improve the combustion efficiency and thermal performance and operability of various components in GE Aerospace products.
- Collaborate with the GE Aerospace engineering community to communicate and validate state-of-the-art combustion and thermal prediction methodologies and analysis systems.
- Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines OR Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in geometry modeling and meshing. Specifically, in computational geometry, commercial pre-processing packages, computer science, data structures and software development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in meshing & using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), hi-fidelity LES based approach and high-performance computing.
- Experience and knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and CFD.
- Ability to investigate, model and provide critical insight into complex physical flow phenomena
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with senior leaders and customers with clarity and confidence.

- At least 3 years of industrial or research experience in turbomachinery design and analysis Demonstrated proficiency in meshing & using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), hi-fidelity LES based approach and high-performance computing.
- Outstanding programming skills including expertise with FORTRAN, C++ and Python.
