Additional information about the company can be found online at .We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Ringgold, LA office.POSITION DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible for general housekeeping duties of Bistineau Comp. Station yard, offices, and all auxiliary buildings. Duties include maintianing auxillary equipment, valve inspections, wellhead site inspections, plugged well inspections’ pipeline line patrols with and without instrument, atmoshperic corrosion monitoring, tank inspections, facility asessments, gas sampling, and will be responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment assigned to this position. Required to comply with all DOT, OSHA and Environmental rules and regulations. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned areas and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks associated with this position. Be self-motivated and able to work with teams and / or with minimal supervision. Be able to meet minimum physical and educational standards established by the company. This role will be located at our Bistineau Compressor Station located near Ringgold, La and may also occasionally require assisting other areas if needed. The successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Bistineau facility. Candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Enviornmental and Company policies and procedures.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
1 or more years of experience with pipeline operating systems
DOT 192 and DOT 195 knowledge and experience in compliance
Basic understanding of Electricity and Instrumentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills
Experience with Microsoft programs
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers guidelines
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet to transfer tools and equipment
Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy / wet environments and high noise areas
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
3 or more years of pipeline maintenance experience
Previous experience with underground storage O&M, gas compression and dehydration systems design, operation, and maintenance
Previous instrumentation experience
Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in fields related to natural gas compression or pipeline operations, maintenance and repairs from a verifiable accrediting association or institution
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Technical / Bachelors Degree
