Salary Range: $50,000–$80,000 annuallyActual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s education, relevant insurance or compliance experience, industry credentials, geographic location, and internal equity.

We invest in training, reward contributions, and provide opportunities for growth.Join our Danville corporate team in this critical role supporting compliance across CCMSI’s diverse client base.Job SummaryWe’re seeking an Underwriting Compliance Specialist to ensure CCMSI’s compliance with bureau specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal standards across all clients. This role is highly analytical and requires strong technical, financial, and process-oriented skills. You’ll work with executives, underwriters, account managers, and external vendors to maintain accuracy in filings, reports, and procedures, while also serving as a trainer and representative of CCMSI. Responsibilities:Research and monitor insurance laws, WCIO specifications, and bureau regulations to ensure compliance.Review, develop, and implement policy forms, rules, and rate filings for accuracy and consistency.Analyze, test, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and workflows.Deliver presentations and training sessions to internal staff and external partners.Support executives and underwriting leadership in compliance projects and client-facing initiatives.Prepare and review reports to verify statutory compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of submissions.Act as a subject matter resource on compliance and underwriting best practices.Provide professional communication to carriers, brokers, bureaus, and CCMSI leadership.Qualifications:What You BringRequiredBachelor’s degree and 3+ years underwriting/compliance experience OR 5+ years progressive underwriting/compliance experience.Strong analytical, technical, and financial acumen.Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills; comfortable with data analysis and reporting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and train effectively.PreferredExperience/familiarity with WCIO specifications or commercial lines insurance compliance.Prior experience in underwriting compliance, policy filings, or insurance regulatory submissions.Insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, AU).Proven ability to create and deliver professional presentations to executives, clients, or vendors.Performance MetricsAccuracy and timeliness of bureau filings and compliance submissions.Quality of reports and presentations delivered to executives and external stakeholders.Effectiveness in identifying and implementing process improvements.Positive feedback from internal partners and clients.What We OfferGenerous PTO – 4 weeks in your first year + 10 paid holidays.Comprehensive Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k), and ESOP.Professional Growth – Opportunities to train, present, and take on high-visibility compliance projects.Employee Ownership – Be part of a company where your voice matters and your contributions have impact.Compensation & ComplianceThe posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
