Job Description:The Senior IT Engineer is part of the Digital Technology's Architecture, Experience, Digital Platforms & Strategy (AEDPS) organization. The incumbent will be responsible for operations and support aspects of the “Digital Integration Layer” (DIL) technical product. The Senior IT Engineer will have a strong focus on implementing best practices for integrations, operations and support. The Senior IT Engineer will work closely with Digital Integration Layer Product teams, Observability teams, Platform Engineering, Product groups and other stakeholders to bring in DIL value realization for our customers across the Digital Technology landscape.Responsibilities: Essential FunctionsStrategy & Planning
  • Partner with Microservices, DIL Architecture and Enablement teams.
  • Drive a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with strategic sourcing partners for success for smooth 24/7 Support.
Acquisition & Deployment
  • Maintain and support all Integration patterns enabled in the DIL.
  • Maintain and support all the software stacks such as Postman, Spotlight in the DIL.
  • Ensure observability is in place for all DIL technology components. This includes configurations of alerts, logs, traces, and metrics.
  • Leverage knowledge of the security processes & standards involved in distributed web applications
  • Explore new technologies that can be applied to solve challenging business problems
  • Own DIL technology products focused on observability such as the DIL Insights product.
Operational Management
  • Responsible for 24/7 operations and support for DIL Integration components.
  • Meet or exceed the SLAs defined for DIL components.
  • Ensure observability is in place for all DIL technology components including configurations of alerts, logs, traces, and metrics.
  • Optimize and drive efficiencies of the DIL technical products
  • Plan and organize tasks, report progress, manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items.
Incidental Functions
  • Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the team.
  • Make presentations to management, partners, and peer groups as requested.
  • Coordinate with Architecture and Development stakeholders
Qualifications:Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core, .NET Framework.
  • 3+ years of experience in using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps & Azure functions.
  • Experience in managing and supporting 24/7 operations with on-call duties.
  • Strong experience working with Microservices, Cloud-Native architecture.
  • Strong experience with API and Event-driven systems.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes Clusters, Service Mesh.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best integration practices in a cloud native environment.
  • Strong understanding of API gateway capabilities.
  • Experience with routing and messaging tools / patterns.
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices.
  • Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code approaches to infrastructure management
  • Experience with Application Performance Management (Dynatrace or similar) solutions.
  • Experience working on open-source projects.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Full stack development.
