Process Controls Engineer – Charleston, SC
Onsite | Chemical Process / ManufacturingWe're looking for an experienced engineer who knows their way around controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems inside a chemical manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the go-to person for keeping production safe, reliable, and efficient.What You’ll Be Doing
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Solve challenging controls and instrumentation issues when they pop up.
  • Keep safety-critical equipment tested and compliant.
  • Bring your technical expertise to capital projects.
  • Stay on top of new technologies and help others learn them.
  • Manage and upgrade electrical systems to avoid downtime and obsolescence.
What I’m Looking For
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 10+ years working in process controls (chemical or related manufacturing ideally).
  • Solid understanding of automation, electrical standards, and hazardous area compliance.
  • Experience with batch programming and modern DCS/SIS systems (DeltaV or HIMA would be fantastic).
  • Someone who can communicate clearly across all levels — from the floor to leadership.
