Job Description:Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for a Wheel Hoe Operator position located in Huntsville, AL.Wages starting at $24.00/hr. and up. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with mass grading experience. Overtime is available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced operator, and they must have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities and requirements of the position include but are not limited to:3-5 years of experience operating a Wheel Hoe performing finish grade is required.Operate a Wheel Hoe to complete all required operation tasks.Ability to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.Effective communication skills applicable to position.Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.Ability to utilize GPS for grading applications - preferred.Previous experience operating other pieces of heavy construction equipment is preferred.Distinguish and understand signals.Read and understand grade and maintaining grade.Use both hands and feet at the same time.Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.Must be able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment.Able to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment.Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 70 pounds.Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment.Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work.Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period.
