- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs fiber optic cable as required, including the LAN Fiber Optic Cable. Maintain LAN backbone equipment to include Hubs, Bridges, Routers, and Remote Access Servers.
- Maintains all LAN cable runs, including copper, and documents all runs. Demonstrates knowledge of electronic fundamentals, to include analog, digital, RF theory and basic soldering and cable fabrication.
- Uses standard electronic test equipment including multi meters, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, sweep generators, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, Bite Error Rate Test Set and Protocol Analyzers.
- Maintains site telephone system, Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) instruments, Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems (IDAS) system, performs secure system maintenance and performs Communications Operator functions as needed.
- Performs user maintenance and calibration of TMDE. Submits required reports in accordance with DISA circulars. Submits required Quality Deficiency Reports and Technical Data Change Requests in accordance with applicable Air Force directives.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on satellite communications equipment including high voltages, LNAs, waveguide, cabling, and antennas.
- Programs and installs LMR base stations, repeaters, mobile radios, and key loaders. Installs antennas, multi-couplers, duplexers, and combiners.
- Maintains work center technical data library.
- Uses Air Force Standard Base Supply System (including GPC card purchases and CLIN Purchases) to order parts and materials, assigns proper supply priorities, and maintains supply point and bench stock.
- Enters MDC data into IMDS. Practices proper physical, operational and communications security to include proper use and control of COMSEC material.
- Performs other duties not limited to general housekeeping, safety and environmental practices, requisitions parts, monitors bench stock and supply point, maintains data/logs/files, complies with security policies and PWS directive publications, completes ancillary training and participates in exercises.
- Review, verify, and validate required DoD RMF documentation and artifacts in accordance with DoD Instruction 8510.01, RMF for DoD Information Systems and applicable federal or military RMF Process Guides (RPG)
- Performs operations of equivalent level involving the same type of work requiring the same skills, effort, and responsibilities under the same working conditions as mission requirements change. Monitors, operates E-mail and other messaging systems. Forwards, prints, or otherwise distributes messages.
- Able to work various shifts.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security +) certification required
- Work assignments can be both indoors and outdoors under various environmental conditions.
- Required to lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements.

- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
