Job Description Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Global Risk Solutions to design and implement solutions that support underwriting and distribution processes while adhering to our North Star Architecture.
  • Guide the development and enforcement of system, technical, and product standards that align with business plans and long-term strategies.
  • Architect and implement cloud-hosted, responsive Salesforce applications integrating Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and related technologies to enhance business capabilities.
  • Support teams that develop and maintain Salesforce integrations leveraging Connected Apps, Flows, External Services that are integrated with REST APIs to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Drive security best practices by configuring and enforcing Salesforce’s security models, including sharing rules, roles, profiles, and org-wide defaults.
  • Mentor junior engineers in coding standards, code reviews, and Agile best practices to build a high-performing team.
  • Identify and solve systemic challenges by analyzing patterns across teams and delivering effective, scalable solutions.
  • Support ongoing innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and applying design thinking and test-driven development methodologies.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile environments and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary software frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Proven experience practicing DevOps and SecOps principles.
  • Strong background in developing or architecting cloud-hosted, responsive web applications using Java.
  • Proficiency with server-side frameworks, and relational databases.
  • Experience with the OpenAPI specification.
  • Familiarity with event-driven System of Engagement architectures and API-driven microservices integrations.
  • Deep understanding of layered solution designs and security considerations including access control, authentication, and secure SDLC processes.
  • Experience with DCI/MDM systems, data ingestion pipelines, and managing cloud-scale data sets.
  • Solid grasp of business operations, global technology trends, and financial services industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation, consensus building, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify cross-team patterns and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Adaptability to fast-moving environments and changing priorities.
  • Mindset oriented toward design thinking and test-driven development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to thrive in team-oriented settings.
Salesforce Skills
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, and Marketing Clouds.
  • Salesforce configuration-first approach using out-of-the-box capabilities before custom code.
  • Creative application of Salesforce features and AppExchange products to solve complex business needs.
  • Adherence to Salesforce best practices and platform limits.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines building and deploying via the Salesforce CLI and GitHub Actions.
  • Proven ability to configure Salesforce objects, fields, dynamic forms, record types, custom metadata, reports, and dashboards.
  • Skilled in automating business processes with Salesforce Flow.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security model including sharing rules, roles, profiles, and org-wide defaults.
  • Development experience with Apex Triggers, Batch Jobs, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST APIs.
