- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- Minimum of five years of broad-based manufacturing experience.
- Effective communicative and writing skills
- PC computer operational skills
- 3D modeling software experience (Solidworks preferred)
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Initiate project objectives by studying design plans, engineering drawings, and reviewing specifications and requirements.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Initiate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials; study customer requirements, research and test manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Confirm system, part and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties; collect, analyze, and summarize information trends.
- Develop manufacturing process and assure system and product quality by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components; design testing methods; test finished product and systems capabilities; confirm fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
- Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain systems and product database by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and entering all such data.
- Knowledge of UL, ISO 9001/2000 standards
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform any other job duties as may be required.
- Demonstrate Leadership & Commitment with respect to QMS & EMS processes & take accountability for effectiveness of these Systems.
- Establish, Communicate & maintain Quality & Environmental Policies & Objectives that are compatible with Strategic direction & Organizational Context. Promote Continual Improvement
- Communicating importance of effective QMS & EMS ensuring these systems achieve intended Goals.
- Assure regular QMS & EMS Planning: (Org. Context, Interested Parties’ needs & expectations, SWOT Analysis, ID Risks & Opportunities, EMS Aspects & Impacts, understand Compliance Obligations).
- Assure integration of QMS & EMS requirements into daily business Processes & availability of needed Resources to assure effective systems & their Continual Improvement.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level, waist level and below waist
- Must be able to use a pallet jack, lift equipment and weight plates with a chain hoist/gantry crane (Certified through Peerless-AV).
- Must be able to use hand tools; cordless drill/driver and pneumatic rivet gun.
- Must be able to work in non-dust/non-climate-controlled areas.
- Must be able to wear required safety PPE.
