- Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, conducting thorough vehicle walk-arounds to assess service needs.
- Listen attentively to customers, documenting their concerns and vehicle symptoms for accurate diagnosis by the technician.
- Address customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Perform detailed vehicle walk-arounds with customers to understand their vehicle's service history and specific concerns.
- Utilize the SAVI dongle at every write-up to ensure warranty compliance and accurate service records.
- Offer and explain maintenance packages according to the GM owner's manual, promoting vehicle performance and longevity.
- Schedule service appointments efficiently, accommodating customer preferences and service department availability.
- Communicate with customers regarding service progress, updates, and additional recommendations, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Maintain CDK site utilization metrics by sending digital quotes, photos, and videos to customers for approval, enhancing the service experience.
- Ensure timely completion of services and repairs, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Create and maintain accurate service records, including service histories and invoices, ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Process customer, fleet, and extended warranty payments, providing detailed billing explanations and maintaining financial accuracy.
- Utilize the CDK site to send digital quotes, photos, and videos to customers for approval, streamlining the approval process.
- Uphold the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service, and strong employee and community relations.
- Demonstrate the ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks efficiently, even in a dynamic and interruptive environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive service advising or customer service roles is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
- Proficiency in CDK software systems for scheduling, invoicing, and record-keeping.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with customers.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in documentation and service coordination.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
